About Me

I have experienced roles of being both the carer and being cared for. After recovering from a life-threatening illness in my 20’s and then caring for an injured family member in my 30’s, I know first hand the daily struggle and relentlessness of sickness, disease and impaired function. Not only this but in my career as a Speech Pathologist in the disability sector for over a decade, I have worked closely alongside family members, caregivers and support staff. I have witnessed so many become and remain lost, stuck, purposeless, unfulfilled and unsatisfied.

Within my career as a Speech Pathologist (La Trobe University), I have also completed a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Monash University), Health Coaching and Massage Therapy, all of which underpin the holistic approach to the 'Soul Care for Carers' service provision. Soul care is nourishing one's sense of self; the mind, will and emotions.

My passion is to help you discover purpose and meaning in this season of caring by exploring who YOU are and therefore enabling you to integrate your role with your soul. The more you can support and regulate your own soul, the greater the impact and outcomes of those whom you care for.

'Soul Care for Carers' is not a psychology or counselling service, but a grounded support for those needing a person/mentor/guide/coach/confidant who can help propel you to live in freedom, despite what life is throwing at you.

I provide the following Services

1:1 Support Sessions

Various packages available. Sessions are 50 minutes and can be face to face (Sunshine Coast, QLD), phone or video call. Support also includes weekly check ins, PDF handouts of each session (topics covered) and relevant resources.

Support Group Facilitation

I can help create a support group in your local area to build community and connection. For example, regular meet ups in the park or coffee shop with carers from a variety of backgrounds and diagnosis' of loved ones.

Speaking Events

I am available for small (family members, support staff) medium (local or online organisations) and large (professional development) speaking engagements.

Testimonials

Mary

Hannah has been exceptional in supporting me since my husband was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's 2 years ago. Hannah has helped me realise I am more than a carer and I have started to experience joy in this season of my life (which I haven't felt in a long time).

Jayne

Hannah has been a steady, compassionate guide through one of the most overwhelming and complex seasons of my life. As a single mum with a son with ASD, life has had its challenges. In the midst of it all, Hannah created a space where I could let go of the mask, bare the struggle and feel truly seen and heard. My sessions with her have been nothing short of life giving. I have been able to rediscover the parts of myself that I thought were lost.

Megan

I am so glad I invested money and time into this support service. It's so different to any other service. Hannah is someone who is patient, willing to listen and come alongside you in times of struggle. I have had so much more clarity since working with Hannah as I navigate having a child with ADHD, which has affected my family greatly.
